Company Information

The history of Akazawa Choyo dates back to the Muromachi period. He started his family business as a carpenter specializing in shrines and temples in Kyoto, and was involved in sculpting of Buddhist statues and architecture. In the 1800s, he moved to Edo to work on the restoration of Nikko Toshogu Shrine, and since then, he has continued his family business by focusing solely on his skills.

Today, he is in his "second founding period" and is contributing to SGI' s customers with historical traditions and new ideas that lead the new era.
